wenty years ago, John Masters opened his first salon in SoHo, New York and changed the world of luxury hair care. Already a celebrated stylist, his dedication to organic living led him to open a 'clean-air' salon that eschewed the use of toxic chemicals, and his salon-tested organic hair products blossomed into the world's first complete luxury-organic hair care line. Today, John Masters Organics is sold around the world and is synonymous with the highest quality earth-friendly botanical ingredients and the ultimate in professional salon-level results.
To celebrate John's two decades of pioneering innovation, we threw a fabulous anniversary party at the John Masters Organics flagship store in New York. Attendees included beauty editors from publications such as the New York Times, TeenVogue and Vogue.com, StyleList, and OK Magazine, as well as celebrity makeup artists and hairstylists and many of our international distribution partners. GustOrganics provided delicious organic hors d'oeuvres, while a D.J. kept everyone dancing the night away!
In honor of the anniversary, we also launched an array of new products. In addition to a new Rose & Apricot Hair Milk, we have expanded our product categories to include hair styling tools, with two paddle brushes made from eco-friendly bamboo. (Look for more brushes to come!) And we will be offering our first Color Conditioners, with all-natural mineral pigments to help boost and maintain hair color between salon appointments.
The world of organic lifestyle products has expanded greatly since John Masters ushered in his visionary concept twenty years ago.
